On September 29th, our Table for Ten guests left the lights of the Rose City behind as we rambled to the heart of the Columbia River Gorge, where Renewal Workshop co-founders Nicole Bassett and Jeff Denby kicked off the evening with a tour of their factory situated in scenic Cascade Locks, OR.

Outdoor enthusiasts, stewards of sustainability, brand marketers, artists, and apparel industry leaders gathered at the Renewal Workshop for an evening of stirring conversation, hand-crafted cocktails, and a sumptuous farm-to-table dinner.

A fitting backdrop and conversation starter, the Workshop’s purpose of giving imperfect apparel a second life headlined our theme. To spark discussion guests re-lived a slice of elementary school (this time with wine) in a grown-up style show and tell.

A pair of well-worn boots and a 1980’s high-school era knit sweater ranked at the top of the list. We laughed. We listened. And we learned how every stitch tells a story.

Our guests explored the towering rows of outdoor apparel that would have otherwise landed in a landfill.

At the table, the deliciously prepared 4-course dinner from our partner, Park Kitchen paired with wines from David Hill, amplifying the night’s charm.

Each Table for Ten is unique. Different focus. Different people. Different location. And yet, the result is always the same. An amazingly worthwhile experience we can’t wait to repeat.
